Accelerant

ZERO HALO is the new pseudonym of James Kelly, the brain behind the acclaimed electronic project WIFE (TriAngle Records). Stepping into the dark, aggressive realm of trailer music, on his album Accelerant we hear Kelly fold in influences from his cult black metal band Altar of Plagues alongside the heightened, progressive nature of his electronic peers Haxan Cloak and Mica Levi.

Otherworldly and dystopian, Accelerant uses pounding rhythms alongside searing, cinematic synths to paint a feverish and intense image. Ethereal, unsettling ambient textures are disrupted with clattering rhythms and snarling sound design in a way that's unpredictable and challenging but also truly exciting and cinematic.
